Photoshop CS5

Well, it looks like with Photoshop CS5 being released shortly, Christmas will be coming early this year!  All I can say is, “Wow!”  Adobe released a “sneak peak” of the capabilities of the Creative Suite 5 and with Photoshop being the dominant program of the suite, spent a lot of time focusing on what is new with this program.

The most exciting new feature seems to be the Content Aware Fill Brush, which will make doing tasks that previously took hours or were impossible to accomplish, as easy as a few clicks.  With this new tool large objects can be removed from photographs and the background will be filled in as if the object were never there.  The demonstration given by Adobe was quite impressive.  It is playtime for Photographers.  Photoshop is having its 20th anniversary this year, and we are the ones getting the gift with Photoshop CS5.

Olympus Stylus 1030SW

Wow – I love this camera!  The Olympus Stylus 1030SW is an underwater digital camera – really!  It is also shock resistant, although I don’t plan on testing that claim.  If you are looking for a, “Grab-n-go” easy camera to take on vacations, or just to have on hand, this is the one.  As the name suggests, you get ten megapixels and a shock and water resistant camera.  Oh, did I mention, it even takes videosRead more »

What types of cameras are you interested in reading reviews on?  Photography is a vast subject and there are many varieties of photographic cameras.  Examples of cameras are digital, film, SLR, digital slr, underwater, disposable, etc.  Professional and entry level professional digital slr cameras are popular now for many reasons.  Although there are many “point and shoot” cameras that do a great job of capturing the perfect image.
